So - as said before - today we started our two weeks tour through three Indian states: Gujarat, Rajastan and Madhya Pradesh. We arrived in our first destination - Udaipur - shortly after the noon and ran to search alcohol! ;) Unfortunately - due to the public holiday (Indian republic day) - no alcohol shop was opened. All the other shops were open, but not the most important ones! Shame-shame!
So we bought some fruits and ate them instead - while listening lecture from one guy - about the best parts of cow, lamb and other meat - and how to prepare it in the best way, and how good it tastes with mashed potato etc. It is amazing, how addicted are people getting from the food, when they're hungry! :))

The highest high-light today was seeing elephant walking on the street (not as tourist attraction, but as part of everyday life):

And later at night we went shopping again(!). But instead of wild shopping, we were browsing around for meat (or at least chicken!) - and managed to get good hint from the locals about one place, where to get it. After going twice back and forth the same street, we finally found one tiny window, where it was possible to give the order and money - and to get meat in return. As it was take-away food, we just grabbed the stuff and sat down basically in the middle of the street and started to eat. I don't know why - but I like such picnics soo much! :))
