Ouch..! :)

I was kind of expecting it! I saw it coming! But I was not expecting it to be soo painful! :))
I was doing small shopping yesterday in Thamel and - my main interest were the necklaces, as usual. I stepped into kind of Tibetan handicraft shop, where really nice ones were hanging. The shop-keeper came to me and started to show me different ones and telling how old and unique these are. I checked some of them and indeed - they looked different from those I have seen so far and so I almost believed the guy.
He named the price for the necklace I chose - and it was 4500 NRs.
- :O:O:O That is way too much.
- Ok, what can you give me?
- My highest price would be around 2000 NRs.
- No-no - it is soo unique and soo old etc.. - I can give it with 4000 NRs.
- No-no - you don't understand - my final price is 2000 NRs. - I don't want to spend more and that's all.
- Ok, I give you with 2000 NRs. - you're my first customer today and I give you very special price.
Well.. I was a little suspicious (honestly!! :) - but I kind of liked the necklace as well, so I decided to buy it. For 2000 NRs. I didn't feel quite good about the purchase, but I tried to convince myself that 30$ was not so bad.
But today I saw on the street one woman - selling exactly the same looking necklace. She said, the price is 700 NRs. When one local asked about the original price, it was 150 NRs.!!! :)) And the woman agreed, that she would give it to me for 200 NRs.
I knew, I get cheated, whatever I buy - but I couldn't expect it to be so painful! :))
I even don't know currently, whether I should go to the shop and get my money back (lesson for the shop-keeper!) or whether I should keep the necklace as a "trophy" for my naivety! :) Because the necklace is nice.. And I believe - loosing 2000 NRs. will not kill me. Let's see..
