Despite all the warnings I read in LP, I took the local bus from Kathmandu to Besishahar (starting point of my trek). The bus, that was supposed to leave at 8:30, started finally at 10:00 - and arrived in Besishahar at 16:30. But it was really interesting! The whole ride was like a cultural introduction to Nepal life: making stops for going to the toilet and having lunch; listening the signals; watching the banana, chips, water, etc. sellers walking through the bus offering their goods; enjoying the beautiful landscape; seeing different-looking people getting on and off the bus - I was just wondering and watching all day long! :)
I'm in love with this country already!
